I'm not one to make them all fancy, putting the tongue back, cleaning up the blood on it and so on. To me it takes the realness out out of a real life event.

Good lighting and composition...but I'll take properly oriented when it comes to posting here...looks like everybody is always hangin upside-down in their stands!

Seriously though it's a hunting site, be respectful with wise shot selection.  Showing pics of recently harvested deer prone on the ground does not bother me, nor do graphic anatomy and wound photos. 

Hunting eventually leads to killing, just about the worst thing you could do to a healthy individual organism.  I still kick the real big ones once good under the chin before I get between their legs to gut em.

I don’t have a fancy camera, so just make best with the iPhone or cheap digital camera years ago. I tried to put the tongue in and show some of the scenery in the background. Here’s a bunch for reference.

If i'm sending a quick text to a buddy or hunting partner to let them know it's down or what not it looks like this

If i'm posting to share, i do try to stick the tongue in and  clean any blood within reason and without a lot of effort. Also cover the gut with leaves. just my style.

My nephew was in Texas on business so he went to one of them ranches to pop a buck on some free time .
