Upstatedeerslayer82
what do you guys like to take in the woods for a snack to past the time?
2012_taco
Marshmallow treats, but I doctor them up. Instead of rice krispys I use multi-grain cheerios, add some craisens, chocolate chips, reeses pieces, and chopped up almonds. I make them in a cake pan, cut them into squares and wrap in saran wrap. They are great in the stand.
Bionic
Slider size sammiches with Turkey, and/or salami, and swiss. Jerky, fun size candy bar from post-halloween sales, granola bars.
turkeyfeathers
Wife makes loaded monster cookies for opening gun week. I'll make venison jerky , egg salad sammiches , Halloween candy, some smoked nuts, thermos of coffee, bottle of water to drink pre dragging one out That's the mainstay . Egg salad has been tradition for many years. Even plugged a doe with half a sandwich stuck in my face opposite the cheek weld Wife bought me a plastic sandwich container years back , it's nice not to eat a totally squished one . I have sat on my backpack so many times and then "oh crap, there's another squashed one"
Buckmaster7600
King size candy bar either snickers or fastbreak and a juice box gets me through an all day hunt.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Five Seasons
I’m simple lol. 20g protein power bar. I don’t wanna snack in the stand and get busted by noise, movement or not able to grab my bow. But I need fuel so water and a bar does the trickSent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Uncle Nicky
Nothing, I feel meaner and more like a killer when I'm hungry. I keep gatorade & water in a cooler back at the truck. 3

stubborn1VT
On all day sits I bring soup, hot tea, PB&J, granola bars, nuts, candy bars, jerky, and "cow pie" cookies. I don't bring all those at once, but that's kind of the basics for me.
coonhunter
I am there for the duration usually, so I pack good. I have a big thermos of coffee, a couple ham or roast beef sandwiches, a couple bottles of water, a couple granola bars, and some small candy bars. i don't always eat it all, but I like to have it in case I get hungry. wolc123
On cold days, I bring a quart thermos of hot cider, otherwise, a canteen of water. A couple big candy bars (or a bunch of little ones taken from the kid's Halloween treats - usually something with chocolate) easily gets me thru until lunch. I very rarely do all-day sits. Jdubs
Prefer deer jerky, but happen to be out of that at the moment. Provides an energy boost on those long, cold sits and motivates me to keep hunting.
ny hunter
Big thermos of coffee and pop tarts,,,,I take them out of the tin foil they come in and keep them in a zip loc bag..4 gets me thru the day.....
Robhuntandfish
If I get hungry enough been known to drop a deer and eat it there. Easier than dragging it. Actually I am thinking of an all day sit on Tuesday. So I might use one or two of the ideas here. Thinking thermos of tea sounds good too.
