Deer carcass

How does everyone dispose of their deer carcass. I take mine to the landfill. I do not put it out on land I hunt cause it doesn't belong to me nor do I want to encourage predators to be there. Curious how others do it.

It's a natural resource and does not belong in a landfill.  Hang it in a tree.  Birds will feed on it all winter.  Put up a trail cam and you will get all kinds of interesting photos - fisher, hawks etc.

I toss mine out in the back of my property as a bait pile for foxes and coyotes, or it goes back to the farms I hunt. Its no different than a deer dying on the land of natural causes. Predators are already there regardless.

Usually right back on the land where I got it. I’ve had deer this year come right up to gut piles as usual. Another way to look at it is if the predators feed of it that’s one less deer they kill to survive, then i shoot them as they eat it. It’s a win win.

right back where it came from I don't even like throwing table scraps in the garbage. same thing with fish carcasses.

I drag the carcass out to the backwoods boneyard. In my mind, I return what I don't use to those who can.

I do the exact same thing. Got a nice pic of a bobcat,and the usual suspects,coyotes,crows and ravens,a fox and some raccoons.
