How many types of game animals have you hunted in your life

I am the antithesis of Dinsdale and Pygmy.  I hunt deer.  lol

OK, I could add squirrels, fox, coyote, and even bear as potential targets of opportunity while hunting deer.  And I could add turkey but I am so bad at it, I suspect a real turkey hunter would question whether I really "hunt" turkey.

Main targets: Deer, Turkey, waterfowl (just started)

Things ill target every now and again: Rabbit, Coyote and very very rarely fox. I never happen to see either when im going after them

Things Id like to hunt: Bear, elk, moose, grouse, pheasant, quail, chukar and a whole bunch of other upland birds. Hoping to get a bear next year and a maybe a grouse.

Guess I'm on par with most of the longtime NY hunters here. Well except Dinsdale and a couple others, of course!!! Wouldn't it be cool, to share a beer and a campfire with a guys like that? To hear some of those hunting stories would be absolutely captivating, IMO. One of these days I hope to do just that!

Some of the odd ball stuff I've killed are......

Rattlesnakes, Copperheads and Cotton Mouths in SC and Fla.

Wild boar in SC

Gator in SC and Fla.

A few Bobcats here in NY and a bunch in SC

Coyote

Fox, red and grey

Possum

Muskrat

Mink

Beaver   (These last four shot not trapped.)

Never shot a bear, though have had many opportunities. Maybe someday?

Would like to hunt for elk and caribou someday.

And who knows, if I can save up the coin. A trip to the Dark Continent with Dinsdale!

It'd blow their minds. :)

Told ya so..........!!

Glad you put the pen to paper (so to speak) and I hope maybe somebody here or a lurker can set some goals and see them through if this is a course they'd like to pursue.  Starting at a younger age as Dan did is a great way to get on track.

Is it rude to ask what Dinsdale and Grizz do for a living and if they are looking to adopt a 40+ yet old son (ME!) with a wife and 3 kids???

I’d volunteer to be your older brother (49)   My wife loves to cook and my daughter loves to hunt and fish. Dinsdale ? Grizz?

Dinsdale - I, too, am available for adoption. Wouldn’t you love to see your new son (me) kill the big 5 in Africa at YOUR expense? I have no kids, so less baggage than the other guys. Lastly, I know many of the hunting lodged in Africa have pools so I can assure you my wife looks good in bikini for your viewing pleasure.

Deer

Pheasants

Grouse

Ducks (not very good at it )

Turkey (Tried a few times I'm clueless)

Rabbits

Squirrel

Crow (just a few times)

Coyote (just a few times)

Raccoon

I really want to get back into small game hunting. I use to do it a ton through college and when I was working a 2-10pm shift. Now with a normal 8-5 gig and 2 kids it never seems to happen.
