Not me...I never do anything illegal....

Well...Except maybe that unsafe tire I got pinched for  when I was a teenager....I feel so dirty...I'm STILL haunted  with the guilt...

You should be...

I hope MOST realize the ironic nature of my post.  But also realistic.

Not for nothing I think this is the most out of hand thread I’ve seen on this site to date, I can’t believe people blow things up to what they did... I guess some of these guys are real tough when they hide behind a keyboard

no. most out of hand was the guy who quit over the sasquatch thread... where literally all we were doing was joking around. Bill i think his name was.

CT opens deer season on 9/15. I’m under 20min away, so can I use their rules for deer in addition to coyotes? My point is, just follow the laws- it’s not that hard. He wasn’t attacked, so why go out of your way to kill an animal as opposed to deterring it off your properly?

Zero. But when I was a kid I remember a family of Fox moved in under my parents shed. We would see like 6-8 of them at a time and the mom fox always stood there angry when i played basketball. My dad closed up the holes and the fox moved farther away.

My point is, why junk straight to killing animals that you haven’t even seen yet?

Man this thread is wild...I guess we all have different views on stuff. I would have taken a mouse squeaker my kids and wife a few chairs and a blind and camera and tried to coax whatever was in there out. Sure probably with a gun on my hip incase it became threatening which would then make it legal. And had some learning time watching the critters play/be curious.

Again I know it's been posted but what on Earth makes killing coyote out of season any different than killing deer out of season? Coyotes are more of a trophy to me than any deer and would shoot a coyote over the biggest buck side by side 100 times out of 100 so just bc you think it's nusiance or overpopulated doesn't make it right. Just like me shooting a deer out of a field next to your camp out of season isn't right either.

Wild how a few think this is ok when we are all outdoorsman. Especially when the probability of pups is pretty high.

This is what you do when you find a misterious hole.... Well done and as always fantastic camera work.

I don't care what you think about coyotes how could you potentially kill something that looks so soft and friendly at that stage in life. Not a care in the world do even understand danger yet.

I wouldn't have gone the route chosen myself but I can certainly see how 120' would be too close for comfort.  DEC would have gotten a call for a legal remedy as a first step. I would probably be less concerned by a single living there than a mother just based on my observations of wild maternal instincts in animals.
