Who’s putting a bird to bed Monday night ?

I’ve tried maybe 3 or 4x in my life with no success.  Being it’s like Christmas, who’s peeking under their tree the night before ? 

I have to work til 8:30 Monday night so no go for me.  Tuesday morning I hope to be surprised with gobbles around me. With decreased winds as forecasted.

I’ll be out Monday morning to do recon and set the blind. 

I was very happy to start seeing birds this week around home especially in one of my spots. So I’ll hit those up after the opener at some point. 

I’ll be flying solo till the weekend when the boy can go.

Not me, I found some birds the other day. They’ll be close enough.

Oh I'll give a hoot just after sundown........where I think they'll be roosted is a difficult spot to approach.  I'll deal with it but in a strange way, I hope they aren't where I think they'll be.

Have some cameras rolling for a few weeks now on two different properties. Just picked up two blinds this afternoon to set on a bigger property. Hope we can sneak out to the smaller property midweek get a blind set up there after work Birds have been active on both properties so we know they're there it's just a matter of being in the right place at the right time I guess.
The weather looks nice for Tuesday morning guessing they'll be on the ground early looking for love!

Not me. They won't be too far away from where they usually roost. Hopefully they decide to come my way.

I might try after getting some advice from wooly. But this MFN rain is starting to pizz me off more then the late snow storms did. So I will have to wait and see.

Yep, only hiccup is if he follows the same rule book as I'm reading. 

He's been roosting on the same hillside for the last few weeks.  Monday I want to know the limb he chooses. It will determine weather I set up below or above him.  He's been flying down into the middle of the field, well out of range.  Smart old  bird.  He's the one I'm gunning for.

I will go and glass on Monday evening.  I do that partly to see what's around, but mostly so that people see my truck.  I will hunt there even if I don't see any birds.  Pretty sure I will be able to hear something on that hillside either way.

Where I'm going they have always roosted in the same spot. So hoping they do again.  Am gonna go out Monday afternoon and put up my chair so that I can find my spot easy in the dark and just have to throw out a decoy and get settled in the dark.  And wait for the gobbles.  I bet they are gonna be active in the nice weather.

At what time do you try to roost a bird and what call works best. I finally say one and would like to give this a shot.
