My second turkey.........EVER...lol

Ok so its just a jake, I hunted hard this yr and with the early spring the big boys were messed up. I have hunted deer with great success but turkey, every-time something would go wrong. Like I said, only my second bird......next yr ?

Great job.  And I agree with the last post.....no need to qualify with "It's just a ......".  Turkeys in particular are tough to hunt.  I'm always happy to fill my tag with any legal one that presents a shot.

Nice bird anytime a a legit animal is harvested and food goes on the table you should be happy. your still 2 birds ahead of me... i have been hunting turkey for 2 years now... I had a Tom real hot for me in the spring(mid may) he was coming in pretty fast at about 85-90 yards and then a coyote came out of the woods about 10 yards to the left of me and i didn't see that tom again for the rest of the season and still havn't seen him...

It's turkey hunting.  Things ALWAYS go wrong.  With that bow, increases the possible problems.  Good job. Nothing wrong with taking a jake. That's why you get 2 tags.  ;D

Yeah, you should feel good about this.

About the only time I seem to get close to a Turkey is when I happen to drive by some in my car.

I started keeping my license in my wallet (instead of on Jacket) in case I get close enough...I'm considering trying to hit one with my car. (kidding...sort of)

There is nothing wrong with that bird at all. It was a tough spring season. Had to use more patience than I'm use to to get em. We took all our birds up in the morning. Congrats and good shooting!
