Good for mossberg

Two years ago I bought my son a Mossberg turkey shotgun from Bass Pro Shops for his birthday present. I am very glad that I supported these 2 companies and will continue to support them in the future. Dick's Sporting Goods has lost me as a customer for what I hope will be their short life to come. I hope everyone contributes to their demise by supporting those businesses which support gun owner's rights.                     valoroutdoors.com

I fully believe Dicks Sporting goods doesn't care. Firearms are a small portion of there sales, and I think they may have been in the beginning stages of phasing them out when the lastest anti 2a movement was unleashed.  Weather or not those of us staying away and not buying hunting accessories and other goodies hurts them enough to matter is the question.

I know of several people who are avid fisherman, but don't hunt. They don't care about all this and will continue to shop there.

I saw This on facebook this morning. I love it and think that other manufacturers will most likely follow suit. Whether Dicks reacts or responds, this is not good publicity and it does have an effect on their business. Even if firearms sales are a small portion of their overall business, it does drive other things. Field & Stream particularly depends on the support of the hunting and shooting community. If this trend continues, they will die a death from a thousand cuts. I’ll be laughing as it happens.

I don't own any mossbergs but think I might buy one just because of this.

You're right. I will never shop there again and I didn't buy just firearms. Their tree stands and such were good deals but not going to happen anymore. If I was in a pinch needed something quick they were my go to but I'll wait or go without now.

Big mistake thinking that firearms owners will blissfully continue to buy their camo clothing lines, hunting accessories, hunting boots, tree stands, etc, etc.  F&S will feel the residual effects, no doubt.

Good for Mossberg, never been a huge fan of them but I have been considering a new toy and their decision to put it to dicks made the decision easy. My new shockwave magazine should be here Saturday 8c29de8761441ef233bff582ccf1f6e9.jpg

funny thing is when i went to Dick's to truely find out what the deal was, they had this and other guns like mini-14s.  all the guys behind the counter seemed like their grandmother passed. then when you pointed out certain guns like that were still behind the counter they acted like a female when you ask them what they want to eat. lol  cool shotgun that caught my eye. Dick's loss in my mind even if just one transaction.

Basically a useless gun but I think it’s cool and nothing else Mossberg interests me so it was an easy choice.

That is awesome of Mossberg. I am glad I own a couple.

I honestly have not stepped in a Dicks since they pulled their crap. Maybe they don't care about that but I bought a lot of shit from them and not just hunting and fishing, my kids both play a lot of fricking sports.

If you do ,drop them an email to let them know why you bought their product . I've done it with brands that sponsor supercross and they are always very apprciative of the emails.

Same here. Actually my son will need all new hockey equipment this fall. I was Planning to buy from Dicks as they have a good deal on packages for kids from Bauer and CCM. I’ll buy the same stuff elsewhere now. Even if it costs me more.

Holy smokes, and folks say Blasers are ugly. You got one of those lever guns too? Be careful they aren't next to each other they might multiply and inbreed.:taunt:

Funny you mention that because I do have one of the “tactical” lever Mossbergs but it no longer has the ridiculous stock or rails on it. But it sure is a nice handy 16” stainless 30-30.

I was toying with getting a 410 shockwave, for the daughters apartment , seems a handy size for that closed space. Not a fan of pistol grip only, but that makes it easy to store and maneuver , and being such a small apartment that helps .

She really needs to get her pistol permit as she shoots them better then the daughter with one .

I think I'll buy one of those 500's in .410 I like the .410 for rabbit and tree rats. Heck that is what I started on. The price tag is nice too around $300 or less.

I saw these in a magazine and thought they were a cool idea. Im thinking I may have to pick one up as well, even though my defense shotgun stable is pretty full. Cant have too many I guess.
