Turkey breast

Turkey is being smoked today. 

It was brined for two days, it's going to get slathered with honey and brown sugar.

Some people can't resist the urge to take the top off a crockpot every few minutes. That's when things get dried out because a lot of moisture escapes. It's like opening the smoker door every few minutes and wondering why the food isn't cooking.

How’s it eating ? Did you smoke for awhile before the baste ? Keep in mind if you baste early the smoke won’t permeate as easily so a later baste more beneficial to the actual cooking/ smoking

Just about done, yes it smoked awhile before the slather.

Leg was kinda dry and a bit tough. The breast was very tender with great flavor, but not moist. I didn't like the idea of the sweetness but it was pretty good.
