Predators.. and Turkey nests

Yeah, that must be why we aren't over-run with turkeys. I'm not out there shooting and trapping every critter walking or flying that eats eggs and turkey poults. I'd better start getting busy ...... lol.

I was always under that impression as well. But I get a ton of coyote pictures/sightings. As well as red and greys. Each every year. lately. A few years back it seemed to go in waves though, High yote pop, less fox pop. and vice versa. Not lately though.

Well, not only turkey poults but fawns as well.. This cam is a few hundred yards from the other one from the original post, but on a clover staging plot.. 1300 pics in a week and a half and atleast half were coyotes.. day and night, pups and adults... Must have killed the fawn close by and brought the pups.. They travel this plot heavily as it is pretty thick with good bedding cover all around.. Some pics had 6 or 7 in one frame with others outside the shot.. 

Wish there was an earlier season on these things..
