Any idea what the dark red ones are? And the first pic is upside down. Are those the hen or chicken ones I’ve read about?
I'm pretty sure those red ones are Exsudoporus frostii (Frosts Bolete) they are actually edible, but I don't recommend any boletes with a red pore surface(underneath cap).
The first pic looks like a type of Ganoderma.
While inedible, Ganoderma Applanatum(Artists Conch)is a medicinal fungi.

Went to letchworth today to find 4 seasons tree stand.... no luck but I came across this mushroom that made me giggle because I have a 14 year old sense of humor.

Never eaten a non store bought shroom ( well at least since college ) but very interested and love this thread.

Ok need a bit more help. Do i rinse or soak in cold water? Sauté in butter? Is all of it good or just the two big "petals"

And does it refrigerate for a day or two or no?
All the formed petals are good. Cut off leaving an inch or 2 on the stump. The good news is it looks like you may have a reoccurring fungi if the rains continue.
If they're bug/debris free just a very quick rinse is plenty.
Yes I do most of my mushrooms in butter. Once sauteed a bit, the chicken mushroom can be used just like chicken such as bbq or stir fry.

Based on a thread in the past, someone might ask you what color purse you carried the quiche to the table in. Not me though, I love quiche.

Lol.
You kidding me? Most of these guys are 5ft nothin', 140lbs., single and can't get venison unless they get it from a buddy!
What's not to love about quiche? It's eggs, cheese and other goodies in a freakin pie!

Ramaria Flava. It's a species of coral fungi and is edible.

It doesn't have tons of flavor but the texture is nice when pan seared. The outer fronds get nice and crispy while the stems remain meaty. A few fried florets would compliment a bowl of New England clam chowder or potato soup nicely.
