Was he not looking up?  It's not like that car came to a sudden stop.  It was sitting there.



Most riders don’t look nearly far enough ahead. It’s common on everything 2 wheels. From MX racing, looking far ahead of you has been engrained in my head and it saved my butt a lot of times when I was riding on my street bikes.

It looks like a lady was standing at the rear of the car near the truck, she is the one flying in the air. The person driving the bike just fell over like a bag of rocks....

Heck of a deal.

If u watch closely, just before the video switched from looking out the back of the car, you can see the car was moving very slowly.  I think the bike had two people on it. The passenger is the one that went flying.

Pretty sure neither are walking away, the bike passenger might have gotten lucky but the bike rider died on impact. There is no way he didn't snap his neck hitting the car like that. 

 

This is the idea of driving faster than your headlights. I have seen many snowmobile accidents at night like this.
