kind of weird i'm excited for opening day and still will go out.  i really don't put forth much effort that early in the season though and don't hunt much. more scouting than actually hunting.

It'll be nice to bow hunt an area where the leaves actually change in the fall...not turn brown, die and fall off in 2 days.

I haven't started enjoying it much yet. Work is busiest I've seen it in years - Go economy!

Got a weeks vacation planned later this month, but that's starting to look sketchy. Need it though, besides weekends I haven't taken two days off in a row since last November.

All work and little play make... Well you know..

I still haven't gotten the feeling of hunting season yet , it's that first morning when you leave for work and the air just feels or smells different ,hard to explain.

 I know exactly what you mean. There's that first morning when I walk outside, usually in September, and I say "smells like bow season".

Considering I haven’t shot a bow ever and nowhere to hunt. Yup , too soon. Only thing going for me is archery class

Just read something about El nino effect this fall and winter….supposed to be unusually warm this fall...hope not.

El Nino, La Nina, Farmer's Almanac, wooly catepilars stripes, blah, blah.... In Jeff Foxworthy terms; Mother Nature is a fickle b*tch and can't be trusted!

Have to keep in mind those weather pattern predictions forecast are relative. IE; warmer, colder, more or less snow, etc are possible upcoming weather trends and not the end of the world. Yeah, October usually has some hot days making the recliner more tempting than the tree stand. Life goes on, deer do what they usually do with slight changes, the rut will happen, you'll eventually see some deer and hopefully an encounter with a nice mature BB.

 I have my vacation days in for oct and nov!   But i can usually move them around a bit due to weather but if too hot the boat can hit the water still so def not a waste of a day off if too hot to hunt.

85 and humid yesterday, but I got the bow out and shot a little.  I will try to shoot every day from now on.  So I guess the countdown is on.

Ive been shooting a couple times a week since like may. . You can never be yoo ready, now that my cameras are out in full force. .the time is near!
