Broadside or quartering away, up's the percentage exponentially. Been playing the game long enough to know, even with good high percentage shots, things can go wrong with archery gear. I have no problem at all letting deer walk, if I don't get the shot I want. No one guides my arrows but me.
nyslowhand
Obviously, whitetails are wild animals and don't necessarily take the "beaten path" all the time. One reason I try not to put up a stand within 18-20yrds of any known travel routes/paths. My heart & nerves can't take TOO many encounters of BBs walking directly at my stand w/o having a shot. Elmo
I hunt on the ground too. Depends on the range. If I'm real close (under 20 yards), and everything lines up, I'll probably take the shot. Take out on lung at least.
Culvercreek hunt club
Nope on the quartering too. Hopefully you have other shooting lanes and if it is quartering to that means it is coming closer? Worth the wait and not worth the risk.

ATbuckhunter
Low probablity shot for me so its a no from me. Now if a big buck walks up and gives me that shot, I hope I can pass. I did pass my biggest buck 2 years ago becuase it gave me a quarter too shot and I wasnt comfortable with it
