Mock scrape

I made a couple on the edges of transitions, as they funnel into the food plots this year, and one on the beginning of a food plot entrance... I used it more of an eye sore to pick their curiosity .. a random tree with a cluster of branches hangin off one side... Theyll either run, or come check it out IMO..

I also used a piece of hemp rope and dangeled it out into a trail. Almost every doe that walks by it checks it out..

Its my first year doing Mock scrapes... So we will see.

I hunt public land where there is not that good a chance of hunting the same spot due to hunter competition. 2 yrs ago i tried mock scrapes near what appeared to be natural scrapes. One time it got some attention from a young buck that i ended up taking....Not at the scrape but closeby at a scent wick. Probably just lucky that day. 80% of the time my attempts at scents and lures do not work or even put does off a bit.
