I thought both of them looked like total idiots. I almost turned it off when they were arguing about who was more corrupt, give me a frigging break! This is the best candidate that we can come up with against Andy. Sad to say but we are screwed again!

So sad indeed.

Yes it is sad. But for every vote not voted, that is a vote for King Andy.

Molinaro is all we got. But still better than Cuomo by a lot. What does that say???

Get out and vote folks. It's the only way we have to make a change.  Make your voice heard.

You’re probably right, Molinaro is probably all we have but the more research I do on him the less I like him. I’m to the point where I don’t even think I can vote for him. I hate voting third party because it’s a wasted vote but I don’t see another option.

I like Larry Sharpe too. Alot!

But he will not win on a third party line. Every vote for him takes one from Molinaro, and basically gives one to Cuomo.

It's all or nothing with Molinaro.

Cuomo? Molinaro?..........one or the other is the only realistic winner.  Who would you rather?

But to make it happen, we all need to stick together!  And we all need to vote!!!

^^^This all day.  Voter turnout for Astorino was pathetic considering how highly we're taxed, the rampant corruption, horrible business climate and last, but certainly not least, Cuomo's un-SAFE Act.  If I lived in or near NYC, I'd be pretty ticked about the MTA mess too.  The only chance to unseat Cuomo is voting for Molinaro.  Period, end of story.

Splitting votes elsewhere is a win for Cuomo.  Why do you think the WFP dumped Nixon for King Andy at the last minute?  Answer: they don't want to risk splitting his votes and allowing Molinaro to steal a win.

Like it or not, the state is 2-1 registered Democrats to Republicans.  You want King Andy out, then you need to vote Molinaro.  It's that simple.

Same!  I'm voting red down the line except for NYS Gov.  I think Sharpe has a real shot, he's pulling moderate Dems, Reps, and people who claim to never vote.  I dont believe any of the polling data that says Sharpe is somewhere around 10% or less.  Those polls told us Killary was 97% going to be POTUS.  Sharpe has visited all 62 counties, multiple times....I dont think the others have.  Sharpe has some powerful name recognition.  His campaign is somewhat unconventionable, but it seems to be making some major strides.

Molinaro up to this point has basically from my perspective, not even trying to run an aggressive campaign.  Not to mention his running mate for LT Gov, is on video basically praising the SAFE ACT.  Plus none of the NYC Dems are going to vote for him.  I hope that Hawkins and Miner steal as many hippy votes away from Cuomo, and Sharpe gets over 30% of the vote from both sides, and all the others in the middle.

We can continue to vote D and R as we always do and then bitch about it afterwards....or try something different and vote for Larry Sharpe.

Respectfully, you would need to go back to Reuben Fenton during the Civil War to find the last non-D or R Governor of NY.

Sharpe has no shot to beat Cuomo.

Is this some kind of joke?  He doesn't have a shot in the world.  Like others have said, a vote for Sharpe is a vote for Cuomo since you are not giving Molinaro a vote.

I watched the debate and Cuomo was on a tear.  He is the most arrogant, pathetic human being I've ever had the misfortune to watch.  His speech pattern makes my stomach turn.  Sounds like a freaking mafia boss who has never had anyone tell him that he was wrong.  He thinks whatever he says should be obeyed by everyone.  Freaking Trump can be an arrogant SOB, too, but he sounds like a pussycat compared to the ruthless Cuomo.

It is less than two weeks until the election and I have yet to see a TV commercial for Molinaro, while I see Cuomo's negative ads every day.  The Republican party in this state has done JACK $#!+ to try to help Molinaro win.

That’s probably because Molinaro sucks! The fact that he is the Republican candidate is the exact reason why I am no longer a registered republican.

Yes, Molinaro is nothing to write home about.  The Republicans had since the last election to think of a plan to try to defeat Cuomo.  At least they could have tried to make an effort to support Molinaro or found a better candidate to run.  Looks like they didn't do a damned thing other than throw in the towel.

The moderators always seem to lose control of these things and the audience gets nothing out of it.  Their microphones should be turned off and on at prescribed intervals to keep them from talking over each other and to force them to stay within the agreed upon time allowed to respond to questions.

Debates are insignificant anyway.  The positions the candidates adopt are important.  Cuomo has got to be defeated or NY goes down within 4 years.  Sharpe talks a good game, but who knows what he will do?  He has no chance to win and votes for him help Cuomo.

Clinton got elected the first time because Ross Perot took votes from Bush 1.  We must never let that happen again.

So do votes for Green Hippy Hawkins or Ex Syracuse Mayor Miner steal votes from Cuomo and give to Molinaro??? How does that work?

They take away from Cuomo, but give nothing to Molinaro.  They just lessen the amount Molinaro needs to exceed.  Unfortunately, the amount of votes from Green Hippies is about 1/10th the amount of votes Sharpe threatens to take from Molinaro.  That's how it works.

Study the Clinton, Bush 1, Ross Perot election if you want to see exactly what happens.  We got stuck with Clinton for 8 years because people thought Perot had a chance.  There's strong evidence Perot was a left wing plant to insure Clinton won.

Third party candidates ought to win enough support before the primaries if they want to have people vote for them at all.

I have dismissed 3rd party candidates my entire life until Larry Sharpe came along.  He is the first 3rd party candidate that seems viable.  I agree with your statement, if they garnered more support early, I think the reason they don't is 99% of the candidates are whack-os.

every party outside the democratic one at the state level continues to act like idiots. this state is mostly democrat. so you can't have the other minority divided and expect to win.  being on the ballot under multiple lines is how local elected officials dominate an election.  most are so tired of politics they don't do much research. seeing someone on multiple lines makes a statement though.  to a democrat it's no longer a vote for a republican it's a vote for an alternative. i grew up around politics, and not just in a family who talks about it. every vote counts. independent party is a joke that's on the side of whatever party is in power. here it's Republican at state level for governor it's endorsing Cuomo. it's really pathetic. still that line means a lot. which is why i'm registered as an independent. problem is there's little steering the ship with the masses during a primary.

Is there any doubt at all, that Cuomo will enhance the Safe Act with more legislation?  Putting even more, and tougher demands on law abiding gun owners. If not outright try to take the guns from our hands? That will be a huge feather in his cap, for when he runs for president. No secret that, that is his #1 ambition! And don't believe for a second that he won't be trying to do just that. Look how the Safe Act was pushed down our throats, from behind closed doors, in the middle of the night!!!

Look, to be honest, there are NO career politicians, from ANY party, out there that I would shake hands with, or tip my hat to. They all have a line of crap, and are only in it for themselves!!! Anyone who believes differently, is only fooling themselves.

Yes, that is a very sad statement, that I wish were not true.

That said, I cast my vote to the whoever I think has the "BEST CHANCE TO WIN" that will do the least amount of damage, to what I believe in. Since I do not believe in socialism, or taking apart the US Constitution, as Cuomo dictates, the only clear choice is Molinaro for me.

The saddest part is, together we stand, divided we fall, means nothing anymore.

If Republican turnout upstate and on long island is anywhere near 42% Andy is done. The problem in NY is the Republican party is so weak and feckless, Republicans upstate are not energized and dont turn out and vote.
