That was before the Democrat's slow brains realized illegals could enhance their voter base by millions, effectively insuring Democrats remain in power for decades.  It's all about power and control, just like everything else they do.

The Dems have lost any coherent message they may have had over the last 60 years, and yet they're desperate to regain power. JFK today could easily run as a moderate Republican (think Mitt Romney).

Bill Clinton was actually a decent President, with the help of people like Newt Gingrich which kept things in check. What brought their entire party to a screeching halt was the blatant Marxism of Barrack H. Obama. The country has largely rejected that ideology outside of the usual enclaves of Socialist thought. Academia, entertainment, and the media. And yet they persist. I'll give them points for tenacity, but nothing at all for smarts or for an understanding of the heart of America. They just don't get it.

The democrats used to hide their true agenda and run on a moderate middle class platform while governing from the left and then run again on a moderate agenda. They have stopped doing that completely. They run entirely on a left wing socialist platform of free, free, free. All the immigrants can come in, free health care for all, free college. All bought and paid for on what is left of the working class. What scares me is they get more and more votes running on this. The dems already have NY and CA along with the rest of the northeast locked up. That's a lot of electoral votes. FL just went blue this past election. We are passing a tipping point. I believe if the Dems didn't sink Bernie there is a good chance he would have been our president over Trump running completely on Socialism.
