This buck was in full rut mode today and went down. This was shot by my neighbor. He said he never heard a buck grunting so load and so many times. This happens to be the 9th 7 point taken on our hill!

I noticed a sizable rub Sunday morning that appears to be new... this is near Cuba.  Ill try to remember to get a picture of it.  It is impressive.  The rub happened before the last snow. and after opening day of regular season.

peak from us seemed to be right around 2 weeks into November that'd put any second rut in line with this coming weekend. there will still be a trickle of first cycles or fawns getting up to weight though. has been that harsh on them yet.

All this scientific mumbo jumbo. The last weekend of gun every year has many bucks on their feet. Early November then early December. Every year.

Plenty of new rubs here in the last week or 2. Scrapes have been getting hit again and been getting a lot of pics of bucks squaring off. Even got 3 bucks having a 3 way match last night. With the new moon on Friday, I would expect the peak of the 2nd rut will be in full swing this week.
