Crossbows obsolete

Forget the crossbow that's old technology. airbow is just for felons. Time for us all to get a Traditions Crackshot XBR!! Can't wait for full inclusion into archery season!  It's the only archery gun you'll ever own.

I had to Google it. I still don't understand how it works. Says the Arrows are pulled from the front of the arrow.

That thing is weird as hell. So basically they took a .22 blank and are using that to fire an arrow. Muzzleloader seems an appropriate designation

 "The Crackshot also ships with a 16.5″ .22lr barrel as well."  The ATF reportedly took a bit of time to decide what the Crackshot was.  They are defining it as a muzzleloader for now. With this in mind , how can it be considered being put under muzzle loaders ?

It don't belong in archery season if it don't have a string. I would be ok with its use during gun season and ML though, as long as the user took the archery course (to learn how an arrow kills vs a bullet).  Ideally, southern-zone early archery big game season should be structured as follows: October 1-14 - "traditional" (recurve and longbows only),  October 15 - start of gun season should allow compounds and crossbows (with current minimum width and poundage restrictions).  The archery course should also be required for crossbow usage.

The arrow is hollow, so it would be more accurate to say it is "Pushed from the front".

Ha-ha-ha...... now it starts. Yes we can all start in again with the personalized definitions of what legally should be defined as archery. But we all know how well that worked out for the NYB....lol. Our individual definitions mean nothing. We are not the ones who write the laws which establish the actual weapons that get stuffed into bow season. You can talk about bent leaf spring power and strings and fletching or whatever else you want to throw into your own personal meaningless definitions, but the truth is that the genie is out of the bottle and we do not have the real control to define anything.
