I got some firsts today! I will post the story in the harvest thread. I know some have been waiting for pic's My #2 buck.193# dressed, 4 maybe even 5 year old 9 point, 170 yard shot. So happy! But pretty sore from getting him out. Thanks to my lifelong hunting partner Gary! And please don't any of ya breath a word of this to my doc!

Just got back in after a crazy afternoon hunt and even crazier track...Long story short, a buck and a doe...one of which I tracked over 1/2 mile over land and about the same distance via canoe to bring it home.  Couldn’t have completed the retrieval without the help of my brother.  After 6 hours of waiting and tracking (and butchering my archery deer) the coyotes beat me to it...luckily only minor damage. 

Great to read about all the success you guys and girls had!!

Set up in stand for another all day sit...then back to work tomorrow. Updated my hunting log after these last 3 sits...152.5 hours of stand time. Passed up a bunch of young bucks, even a couple borderline shooter bucks, and did draw my bow on a big shooter 8 at 15 yds but he didnt present a shot before taking off again after the doe. Hopefully one of the big boys makes an appearance today. Good luck all that are still out and congrats again to all those that have scored

just changed days off from th and fri to W and th .  So will be back out tomorrow . Friday looks like rain so made a change.

We got a few fresh inches, I'll get the kid on the bus and go out for sit with the old man.  He found yesterday his thumb is healing well, so looks like he will keep the tip.  Kind of a shame, I had so many jokes lined up ......

Well,we got a couple of inches of fresh snow in our area,i guess my mojo is back! I will head out and try to get on some tracks,the walking should be quiet. I love these conditions...now if i can find a buck that is not paying attention..

In a box blind this morning. One little one came through. Can’t see much with snow stuck to every branch. Feel like I’m wasting my time. I can see more from my living room.
