That one is a beauty!   Someone could be giving me a dozen plastic stocked guns or AR's, but I'd take this one over any of those in a blink of an eye.

have the same gun in mint with factory baush n lomb scope the adjustments are in mount.. mine it a few decades earlier though. friends grand father used it in pa before new York had a season for a few years . when ny season opened was put away and never used again. was left to me when he passed... I will use it one day to take a buck and retire it again.

My dad gave me my grandads 300, and they are a great gun. If you ever thought about buying one don’t hesitate on this one. Nice 300 mowin..

You should easily get that. I'd consider it myself if I didn't just recently blow my 99 budget on a 99F. They're great firearms and 300 Sav is a great round. Hope you don't regret the sale. Good luck.

Once again, very cool gun.  An old friend now deceased hunted with a Savage 99 with us in Pennsylvania. At the time I wondered why he'd use such a relic when there were so many cool bolt action rifles available. LOL

Considering I was just a young man in my early 20's what did I KNOW??

I agree, It's a great cartridge. I've only shot it a few times at paper. If it doesn't sell, I'll probably give it a go this rifle season.
