i just posted in the other thread i've yet to see a bear in the wild. i've even held cubs from the zoo before but no wild ones in sight.

If he's sad it's likely because he hasn't taken a dump since last Fall.  That's what gets the Spring bees pizzed off. Once they let loose a good poop they're not nearly so angry or disgruntled.
