What a morning!

They spotted us from a few hundred yards off and took off. This guy was part of a group of 3 bulls that were about 100 yards from the main herd of about 60. Took a long time to get close enough, and they were suspicious the whole time.

First shot was about 45 yards. Hit too far forward, and broke shoulder. Next was 60 yards, double lung. 3rd was a neck shot at point blank to finish it.

Ate a piece of liver raw, as the guide says it's tradition!

What a hunt. Worth the years of dreaming, and the 22 hour drive. What a blessing. Thank you God!

Congrats. Way to get it done on the first day, I presume. Any plans to hunt other critters while you are out there, or headed straight back home?
