Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

Wow, the turkey, deer and bear seasons are right around the corner! The 2011 Licenses go on sale August 15th (Monday), so remember to get your DMP's also if you choose to do so.    You can order them online through the NYS DECALS system or in person at a licensing agent.  It looks like the new licenses are brown according to the post below.  How many of you run out to buy your license on the first day?  Chime in here: http://huntingny.com/forums/index.php/topic,5329

A lot of members on the site have reported that they have already received their 2011 Licenses because they have the "Lifetime" as well as receiving the new "Credit Card" style lifetime card.  I have yet to see what one of these looks like or what exactly it is.

so let me get this straight. If you buy a lifetime you get this card. you still have to carry the card along with the carcass tags...right? Take sup more room in the wallet than tha paper tags...costs more to put out...Sounds to me like NY found another soultion for a problem that doesn't exist. I wonder what the replacement charge is for that baby.

It has all the information your paper license has on the back. You don't have to carry your paper if you have the plastic one. I only carry the tags i'm hunting for at a time so my wallet isn't overflowing. Replacement fee is 5 bucks same as your paper license. Ya it's not a necessity but it's a nice to get something from a state that normally gives you the s#@t end of the stick if anything at all.

Does it say anything on the back?

It reads, Congradulations, you gave a grand and we gave you this piece of plastic, and has a pic of a guy giving you the finger. lol

For $1000 I would expect it to be one of those hologram pictures of the finger, so when you move the card slightly the finger wiggles side to side.  Or maybe they will save those cards for when the DEC decides to implement AR's across the whole state and take away our antlerless bow/muzzleloading tags.  LOL
