what is deer's favorite natural food source during gun season

Yea I'm sure this topic has come up before  but what is deer's favorite food source during gun season.

Number 1 got to be acorn. But 

What else ?

Is  on there list of favorites  2 ,3 ,4 Etc  that time of year .

Are plot foods included in this ?

My experience with apples in the wild are they'll eat them for awhile after they fall and then seem to stop. I've heard they get sour stomach . Then when snow covers them up and ground starts to freeze seem to hit them again.

No natural food sources  what you would find on public land .

Acorns  is a no brainer but what else is on there list that time of year ?

Gun season??  nut fruit wise.... in favorite order

chestnut , Beech if there any,shagbark hickory, followed by white oak, red oak,green briar, pokeberry,  smooth bark,pignut hickory, ash seeds, maple.seed.
