Thats why I fenced mine. All around where the they were outside of the fence, they have them down to the dirt pretty much. Did you get any tubers?

I do have some tubers - radishes.  Only pulled a few to check.  There are still some leaves attached to stalks so I hope they continue to grow, at least root wise.
