Clover Plot

A friend  of mine was up this week from NC, so  we went up one evening to sit in my tower stand overlooking my clover plots...

We arrived about an  hour before sunset...We flushed seven deer out of the plot when we walked in   2 were bucks...They didn't stick around long enough for us to evaluate their racks, but we could  easily see antlers at 200 yards as they ran out of the field..

Soon after we got into the tower, deer started coming into the plot at the far end.....Five bucks and seven does....No wallhangers, but one 8 point would measure perhaps 100 inches, a handsome  buck that is probably a 2.5 year old... 

I hope they keep working that clover, but the acorn crop is awesome, too, so who knows what might be happening come gun season....Still, 19 deer in a six acre plot  ain't too shabby....Hehehe...
