Northcountryman
Hey Guys , so I understand pretty well ( I think) what prompts bucks to rub small trees and saplings , pretty much a means of marking territory and notifying other bucks ( and does) their presence , a signpost if you will . But what prompts them to scrape? Isn’t it pretty much for the same purpose? Why not just do all rubs or all scrapes then?
Hock3y24
Scrape is more of a sign post than a rub In my opinion, they use them year round. Rubs are to get velvet off, get out built up testosterone, intimidate other deer.
