Cole to the Yanks FOREVER and Didi to the Phillies.

Always liked Didi, they'll be able to fill in the in-field OK without him, but he was was just a fun player to have on the team.

1 year deal for Didi to try show he can still hit.

Adam Jones to Japan!

Which Cole are the Yankees getting? The dominant REGULAR SEASON guy of 2018-2019 (who couldn't win a ring when paired with Verlander, Greinke, Kuechel, Morton, McCullers, etc.) Or the guy who 19-22 with an ERA over 4 in 2016-2017?

The one the Sawx didn't get, or could afford.

And Better hope Mookie doesn't get $400M, because the Sawx won't be able to afford him either.

He will get $400M. Either the Sox have to trade Price/Eovaldi and keep Betts or let Betts go. It's not possible to keep so many players. Soon Devers will be a $100M guy like Boegarts, etc. You can't keep everyone. Yanks will be in same situation in a few years- can't keep all the young studs so gotta win that ring soon.

Hey Biz do some math for me....how much did the yankee just pay per inning for Cole?

200IP avg? $324M / 1,800 innings = $180K per inning (not counting postseason)

Thank you - I feel great about myself now!

Seems like a per-pitch cost can be figured out by you number guys too.....GO!!!

100 pitch average per start. 32 starts per year average. So 3,200 pitches per year so 28,800 pitches over 9 years. $324M/28,800 = roughly $11K per pitch

As a pitching coach or manager, this would make me think twice about "wasting" a pitch!

This is a bummer.  He's a grinder and an innings eater.  The Red Sox are going to miss his competitive attitude and those innings...

he seems to have alternating great and bad years so he's due for a good one.

I don’t trust Rendon either tho. Older and only a few good seasons

Rendon has always lead the league in doubles.  Just with the juice ball movement, some of those doubles started turning into home runs.

Corey Kluber to my Rangers ,vegas world series odds went from 100-1 to 40-1 ,I'll take it. Screw Anthony Rendon for signing with Angles . Pitching wins games ....

Now we need Josh Donaldson at 3rd .
