Hey everyone,

Brand new to hunting with the exception of a 1 day trip to Maine last weekend with a college friend. I'm planning on heading out to Sullivan county this weekend for my first real attempt. I know people don't want to give up their spot but has anyone had recent success in Neversink and/or Monguap Valley WMAs? Any tips for a novice are greatly appreciated.

I realize you said you were new to hunting . This is a perfect learning experience to have a spot picked out well in advance of the opener .

Yeah I know. Will definitely do more ahead of time next year. Time is tight in med school this year

Try to stick with zone 3M in Orange County, MUCH higher deer density, and no antler restrictions compared to Sullivan County 3K zone.  I am not trying to hide the area, or discourage you though.
