CATS-- Let's See Yours.

Recommended Posts

Cache (cat) and Sally. Cache is a rescue we found, more accurately, he found us, along the Greenway trail near Nunda when we were geocaching. Little thing followed us for half a mile and then jumped up on my shoulder. I said “no way!” And we left it there. My wife wakes me up in the middle of the night and says that it’s pouring rain and that little kitten is out there all alone. So, in the morning I drive forty five minutes to the trailhead and the kitten jumps out of the brush and onto my shoulder again. The little thing weighed less than a pound and was a mess. Twelve years later, he’s fat and happy and very much the boss of my Brittany.

oh yeah, one green eye and one blue eye.

Ok, I'm in. WE (my wife) have 2 feral cats we got I believe 6 years ago. They were trapped as kittens . The male is very affectionate but the female is a loner. She was trapped 1 week later and has a lot of trust issues.  She also is 3x the size of the male!

Gemma (silver tabby) . I went to a wedding in Pennsylvania and before I left I used the outdoor swimming pool. I heard a crying and walked over and found her all alone surrounded by fields. She stopped crying once I picked her up. Took her to local ASPCA, they said they didnt have any room but they will take her in and feed her. I had tiggs (the other cat ) for a year before I found Gemma and I was thinking about getting him a companion. So I dropped Gemma off at ASPCA and went to lunch to think it over. I went back to the ASPCA and heard her crying . So I went to the back and picked her up and she stopped crying.
Long story short. I took her home. She was small and covered with fleas. Took her to my vet she have her her shots and boosters. She estimated her at 9 weeks old but she was tiny.
That was in 2013. She still does the "let me cry until daddy picks me up routine " when I get home from work. And it works everytime. She stops crying after she gets picked up and rubs her face on my face.

Ever since day one tiggs has been totally accepting of her.

Tiggs was actually adopted from a shelter when he was a kitten and the little girl that took him called him mister fluffy. That didnt work out so she returned him to the shelter. My dad picked him up and he spent a few years on a 4 acre lot by bellefonte pa with 3 dogs and another cat. My dad said that the other cat would always beat up tiggs so he wanted to find him a new home. So I took him in.

Funny part is the old cat that my dad had that used to beat up tiggs looks just like my Gemma girl.

These two are good friends and play together but also respect each others space.
Tiggs lets gemma eat first every time. And once she walks away and starts cleaning her self up, then he eats.
She always thinks what we put on his plate is better so she will push him out of the way if needed and taste it.

They have their favorite place right on the couch in front of the window 20191209_222820.jpg20191209_191650.jpg20191208_171326.jpg
