School me on selective herbicides

Recommended Posts

I have two fields planted in Whitetail Institute Fusion (clover and chicory). Total is about 9 acres. I planted it last year after plowing, discing, then a cultimulcher. Prep was great, rain was not. It was ok, but grew in a bit thin. About halfway through March this year, I frost seeded it. I still have some bare spots, but I feel I need to target the weeds coming in. What can I use instead of the expensive Whitetail Institute’s Slay and Arrest to selectively kill invaders to this plot? I have a PTO sprayer. Thank you.

Yea just went through this. Arrest a selective grass killer and slay a selective weed killer. Both safe on clover are  no longer sold in n.y. without a pesticide licence. Same with poast. Clethodim is allowed  however cleth max needs a license.  Found cleth e.c. at keystone and its on its way to n.y. i agree all will toast chicory tho
