Bob Schotthoefer, of Solvay, holds up a 43-inch muskellunge he caught Nov. 3 on the St. Lawrence River while fishing with his friends, Marty Golanka and Frank Dewees.

"We were on board Water Wolf Charters with Capt. Bob Walters," he wrote. "It's always a thrill to get one and have a clean release."
