Are you talking about Biden, Trump or both?

I'm talking about Biden , i'm not a giant fan of Trump but what i am a fan of is living in a country that doesn't have the government infringing on every facet of daily life , you won't get that if Biden or any other democrat gets in to office.

The TRUE downfall will happen if these Leftist Democrats take power... meaning taking the House, Senate and Presidency.... I've never seen the Dems rip apart the Country as much as the last few years. You might ask How?  It's because they split people into little groups instead of uniting ALL Americans together. They pander to small... but load groups... give them what they want... no matter how radical and screw over the Majority....

Let's just say this...... JFK would be a Republican today!

Those cops in Buffalo that resigned from the special unit in solidarity would be fired if i was in charge. Bad cops have been getting away with murder for too long. Police is getting more militarized, and any chance they get they escalate stuff instead of cooling it. Major change in attitude needs to happen. Serve and protect whom exactly? Each other as cops and civilians are the enemy?
I thought another point of view was needed here,so here it is.

The ignorance in this thread is sickening!

You would fire cops for resigning from a voluntary unit for standing up for/with their fellow officer that was following a legal and direct order from their DEMOCRATIC LEADER, you’re a special kind of stupid!

Geez wolc, do you watch the news? We are dealing the with black plague, great depression, riots of the 60's and the cold war (now with China) all at the same time. On top of that we have 50% of the nation believing anything that our President does is not only bad, it is demonic.

Most of today's news is "make believe" (Trump uses another word).  What do you suppose will happen when Biden faces Trump in a live debate ?    I am really looking forward to that.  Four more years of Trump will be great, but the 8 years after that with Pence driving will be better yet.  Today polls mean just two things: Nothing and Sh1t.   In "real life" things are good now, but I expect them to get better over the next decade.

Evil thrives on gloom and doom.  P!ss on that I say.

Now that Dimwit Nancy is back in DC, kneeling up the place, The President should ground her private, government issued jet for the summer. That would be funny, then when she bitches, Trump can say.." don't mess with me", like she said to a reporter around Christmas time, when she was having a hissy fit about answering some question thrown at her.

America is headed to socialism.  The government has increasingly been funding more public assistance to those with questionable needs.  How unfair this has been to the tax payer.

I hear news reports of how cities want to take funding away from law enforcement budgets and use the money for community based programs.  Why are not the members of the community volunteering to improve their neighborhoods?  Where are the fathers of the children to protect and teach their children?

We regularly hear “WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER”.   Yes, but only because “we” “all” can get the virus.  Sad how we have not heard that during war.  When a military member is killed in action, we hear “they died for THEIR country”.  NO, they died for OUR country.  So that “WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER” does not apply to support for OUR military.

I had the privilege to serve in three foreign wars.  Many Americans do not know what real hunger, poverty and brutality like I saw.  I learned a lot to say it mildly, but the most important fact I learned was that America is the greatest country.

I also had the pleasure of serving in 2 foreign wars and couldn’t agree more!

This country is heading in a direction I’m sad to be a part of! I’ve spent my adult life serving the country that I love. Between my time in the USMC then as a sheriff and now in the department of corrections I’ve personally witnessed the worst this world/country/state has to offer. We live in the greatest country in history and there’s some that’s out to ruin that, unfortunately there’s some idiots that feel it’s their agenda to ruin what a great country our forefathers have fought to develop.

So,you think it is fine that the officers resigning from the special unit in solidarity with the two officers that got into trouble are correct? They condone shoving a 75 year old protester to the ground so he cracks his head open and then walk away as his blood pools on the pavement? Those are great cops,i would love to have them in my neighborhood.

He must have been a big threat.

Most cops are ok,but you can't let the bad ones get away with this bullshit.

Which could easily lead to a discussion of how difficult that can be as a result of strong unions(a typically pro-left agent).

That may sound hypocritical as a teacher but my problem with unions has been that unions cannot take that stand against their own members. I hate how bad teachers (can certainly apply tor cops/fire/electricians/etc) who everyone knows who they are from the top admins to the union President they are bad, have the same support as the best teachers. I always pled with my union president that we need to “police our own” when it comes to shitty teachers- as union president, “not my job- I protect all under the contract!”

I was saying  this yesterday and hearing them call for the public access to all disciplinary actions or complaints against the police, I suggest we take it further. Let's open it up so that ALL records of ALL employees that are publicly funded have their records available. If it is good enough to do to the police we should do it for all public employees. teachers, police, military, ELECTED OFFICIALS. Wanna bet that their tune would change with a proposal like that?

We can't protect bad cops. but the assertion to disclose and defund is absurd. Talk about the inmates running the asylum.

The hypocrisy of the left is amazing.

It isn't true that all blacks are criminals even though a disproportionate amount of crime is committed by blacks yet you can paint all cops as corrupt and the police are plagued with "systemic racism" becasue of the actions of a few.

Crappy, None of this was directed at you. I was just tagging it on here because of the union topic.

You can't hold Muslims accountable for terrorist attacks becasue of the actions of a few but you can hold all gun owners accountable for firearms crime becasue of the actions of a few.

It just goes on and on and on.

The cops were told to clear that street of protesters the asshole refused to move. When you play stupid games you win stupid prizes.

Not only that but he directly approached them and put himself in the way of the advancing cops. I would expect to be pushed out of the way if I did that.

And what the heck was he doing swiping his phone against them like that?

I made an argument yesterday to a very liberal friend of mine yesterday.

I’m all for the protesters. But all protests should be limited to 10 people. Just as we have been limited to 10rds in a magazine for the actions of a few.

Protesting is fine until the first act of violence then that is it... And any of these fools should know that someone is gonna ruin it for them and you might have to pay the price... If I have to hear one more fool say " i went to peaceful protest and got shot with rubber bullet"

Being an asshole is what he was doing!

That’s exactly why all the officers quit the team. Their brother got in trouble for doing exactly what he was told to do.

The call to make all disciplinary of Leo’s public makes me nervous.

I’ve been put on paper before for things I’ve done that didn’t happen the way supervisors thought.

Being a Leo already sucks in a lot of ways. There’s a reason why forces across the country are constantly looking for new officers. Departments are constantly lowering requirements because recruitment has been so low. When you lower requirements you’re going to get a lower quality employee, lower quality employees lead to more problems so it’s really a double edged sword.

As a LEO you put your job on the line everyday, sometimes when your life could be on the line and you have to break some rules. Then you have to hope that someone whom has never been in that position before in their life can see why you did what you did or else you’ll lose your job and possibly your freedom.
