Some very nice prospects out in the field behind the house tonight. 6-8 bucks stroll through every night. I turn off the tv and grab the spotting scope. That big ten point has me drooling. The 8 point biting his own ass is no slouch however. These pics are taken on my phone looking through the scope. Not easy to focus but you get the point. Ill update throughout the summer.

Unfortunately i have little to ZERO time in October to hunt due to apple harvest. I crossbow hunted for the first time last year and managed to kill this guy on my second day out. I didnt find him until a few days later. The snow melted and i lost my blood trail. Im now hooked. I borrowed my brother in laws Mission crossbow. Now i need to buy one!

Its great my wife and I shut the idiot box (tv) off, open the window and take turns looking at the wildlife. Some people just need to stop and smell the roses so to speak. Lots of beauty to take in, in a not so beautiful time...
