Colonoscopy tomorrow.

For everyone worried about the usual practice of a colonoscopy there is now a home test.  If you have had colon cancer in your family and don’t want a “full bore”  test, this looks like a great option!

i will go this way, will NEVER do the other.  Havent said it while people were getting it done, but my Mom did the test, they perferorated her colon, she needed to have surgery with an open wound after to take care of for weeks, then had to have a hernia surgery due to the other surgery.  Nope.  - no family history here for this so a hard NO for me!

Everyone should discuss with their primary care physician (gastroentorologist or oncologist) if this is a better option than colonoscopy for them.  We all have different and unique risk factors to consider above personal comfort preference.

Of course.  Hopefully knowing there is  another option to screen will encourage people to have those conversations.
