I would hate to be the nomine.  Imagine the attacks from the left that person is going to be subjected to.
The left about destroyed the last nomine. Wait and see what they pull this time.

What they tried to do to Kavanagh was insane....it did make for amazing TV and I never watch politics

How times have changed since Obama wasn't even given a Senate confirmation for Merrick Garland so the voters could "have a voice".

how so its in the  law!!! the  president and senate get to pick judges    back then it did not happen because the senate did not want to which they get to decide  .  Now both president and senate are on the same side  so it will  probably  happen  . in other words it is up to both branches to agree for it to happen . legally they get to decide one way or the other .

Maybe thats the type of Supreme Court Judge you would of loved . Voted 4 times against your 2nd Amendment rights to own a firearm . Good riddens to him . I'm glad we never had a chance to find out what he would do as a Supreme Court judge

"elections have consequences". I believe that was Obama. Unfortunately for him he couldn't hold the Senate so his nominee was DOA.

I wonder if the ny hunting liberal foursome (versatile, lefty, chef, and bm) are upset with the Trump RBG replacement situation. It seems odd none of them have chimed in on this yet.

It has to be painful for them to watch Trump get more done in 4 years than Obama ever thought of in 8.

My guess is that there are a few more, but I'm not sure I'm that liberal unless believing that Trump is a lying stupid POS and dangerous to the country makes me a liberal.

I know it's hard to understand, but one can be pro America and anti Trump.

BUT I can't reconcile being pro America and Pro-Liberal.

Sure you can.

Free markets, free trade, limited government, individual rights, capitalism, democracy, secularism, gender equality, racial equality, freedom of speech, freedom of the press and freedom of religion are classic liberal positions.

I agree with you on the classic positions. But the today's modern liberals absolutely no longer support limited government or capitalism. They regularly denounce capitalism in favor of socialism. And they are indeed for individual rights as long as it's not 2A stuff.

Free markets,  Don't get me wrong. the Republicans suck at this too, but there is not way you can stand on this with the approach they are taking for alternative energy and their stance on industries like Fracking.

 free trade,

limited government, That has to be one of the funniest on the list. Liberals as for limited government?

individual rights,--You mean like 2nd amendment?

capitalism, - I stand corrected...this is the funniest one in the list.

democracy,  That is great but we aren't

secularism,

gender equality, You mean for the 2 actual genders or for all the made up ones as well?

racial equality,  - says the party of affirmative action and hiring mandates as well as targeted contract awards. Their platform is about elevating races above others, not leveling the playing field. They are not the part of personal accountability

freedom of speech, - as long as your speech agrees with what they believe.

freedom of the press

and freedom of religion - You mean freedom ":from" religion.

are classic liberal positions.
