Crossbow Re String Albany area ?

Any advice on where to get a Crossbow re strung in the Albany area ? Want to get it done before the MZ / Crossbow week !

Flying Arrow in East Greenbush may be the only place. I don't think Coxsackie Gun and Bow does that.

The place in Colonie closed, so without driving an hour that's all I can think of. B&D Gunsmoke in Rotterdam will do it, but that's a drive. Might be worth the ride though if Flying Arrow won't get it done for you.

Gunsmoke is moving to the Glenville area. I would check at Browns Archery in Schenectady.

I dropped it off at Flying Arrow and they did a good job .... $ 150.00 , timely too !

Just another reason I could never get into bows or crossbows.  Everything is so ridiculously overpriced.  $150 for a string sounds outrageous.

disclaimer...I AM NOT SAYING TO DO THIS----lol----I did mine last year. It's a little unorthadoxed and I am SURE not encouraged by manufacturers. I changed out all the strings on mine last year like this and no issues at all. If one actually broke you need the press. 

 

$150 is highway robbery. it took me 10 minutes.

Need to get rid of all the stupid laws for crossbow then u can get a xcaliber and it takes 2 minutes  lol
