No one likes Biden.

I do. I  finished reading “Promise Me Dad” and it made me like and respect him that much more. I’m just now reading another book about him “The Book of Joe” by Jeff Wilser, and again, I like him more the more I learn about his life and career.
I’m not looking to change your mind, since I’m assuming you don’t like him, but saying “No one likes Biden” is an inaccurate generalization.

So you read a book about a guy and form a opinion? Weird. Charles Manson had some great stories as well wouldn't want him leading a country! The saying don't judge a book by its cover has never been more real.

If you had a choice between a weird old guy who sniffs everyone and a guy who looks at a 10 year old and says, “I’m going to date her in eight years” where would you end up?

The first seems to be in the “Uncle Joe, back away from cousin Susie” world while the second is more in the “WTF did you just say about my daughter?” realm.

I bet Manson had some real yarns. Can you point a few out?

As do I. At least I can respect him. All I ask is for him to reunify our nation. WE were always great, (maga was Trumps first and greatest lie), but our greatness is in our unity. E Pluribus Unum.

What do you like about him? Do you feel as though his time as a public servant has been fruitful to Americans?

From everything I have read about him, he is a kind, thoughtful and decent human being. He has flaws, which he admits to, and I have found that is an important thing for me to practice in my own life.
As far as being a fruitful public servant, I can only speak to the things that I experienced while he was in office. When he and Obama took office, I was fresh out of undergrad. Even though I was fortunate enough to have a job in the recession, things really didn’t look good as far as getting a good start on my adult life. Because Joe Biden and Obama straitened out the economy somewhat, my economic situation has continued to improve.
Shortly after my parents got insurance through the ACA, my dad had a series of mini strokes. He had to go through a ton of treatment that would have bankrupt my parents if they didn’t have insurance. Both of them worked jobs that didn’t offer insurance, and private insurance was not financially possible before the ACA. So, yes, at least some of what he has accomplished in his career has been fruitful for me and my family.
He also has a history of bipartisan work and friendships that make me hopeful for an end to the angry division that is running rampant. He was great friends with John McCain, and even delivered his eulogy.  Lindsey Graham said that “God never made a better man than Joe Biden”. There’s  more that I’m reading that are further confirming what I already think of him.

Again, I’m not trying to change anyone’s mind, but you asked what I like about him.

This thread seems like an appropriate place for this article:

The Battle Cry of the Politically Homeless

EXACTLY! Thanks for sharing this. This is exactly why I changed my political affiliation to Independent this year. I got tired of being drug into battles that I didn’t want to fight.

Some of the reasons you like Biden are the exact reasons I dislike him. My parents could no longer afford their private health insurance after ACA as my dad made to much as a independent contractor to get the government assistance for insurance and rates went up to high also my rates through my company went up. But the people I know making their money under the table and not paying taxes could get insurance for almost nothing (not saying this was your family’s case). I am truly glad the ACA worked out for your family but this was not the case with mine now both my parents no longer have insurance.

I’m sorry to hear that, it really sucks. It would be nice if the whole thing could get figured out for everyone. My mom does home health care for several older folks around home, and my dad spent his last working years working for a pallet factory that didn’t offer any benefits. He did work for a long time for a road crew, but had a trailer hitch dropped on his foot and couldn’t do the work anymore. That job did offer some benefits. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much else available for a 50 year old man with a High School education. Like I said, the ACA was a godsend for my family, but that does nothing to help yours. I’m truly sorry that it had that kind of an impact on yours.

The ACA was designed to get people who had healthcare to pay for the healthcare of people who didn't.  That's what it was forced on everyone to do.

This is why Biden sucks.

He will see to it that the people who are doing well because they made all the right choices in life, will be forced to pay for the needs of people who made lousy choices in life and are now suffering because of it.  And that's just one of his leftist ideas, or should I say, those of his handlers.  He's a puppet for the world's leftist cabal.

It's called SOCIALISM, and it will destroy the country by removing all motivation to make the right choices.

God help America.

My father and my mother worked their asses off their whole lives to provide for me and my siblings. We never had much, but we had enough. They had way more than they had when they were growing up. If providing an option for people to get healthcare without going bankrupt is a step too far for you, then you are out of touch with what the real world looks like my friend.
I’m sorry that you feel entitled to things that other people don’t have because you made the “right choices”, but I can guarantee you that my parents weren’t the product of “lousy choices”. If a country helping to provide the most basic of necessities (health care) for its citizens looks like socialism to you, then we live on totally different planets sir.

Now that I realize how young you are, I can see why you think the way you do.

Providing an option is fine, but not at the expense of others.  Your real world is headed for a fall, because that type of thinking doesn't work.  It has never worked in any society in the history of the world.  If you believe it did, tell me when and where.

I feel entitled to what I have worked hard for my whole life and feel outrage when the govt takes it from me at my expense.

I feel sorry for people in a hard spot, but I can also see how they wound up there.  One can work hard all their lives and still wind up in a bind.  That's because there is a difference between working hard, and working smart.

The path one chooses in life is their choice, and any consequences that result from it are theirs, and only theirs to bear.  Nobody is entitled to the profits of anyone' else's labor.  That's theft,  plain and simple.

Necessities are NOT rights!  Individual responsibility is what drives success.

People take risks trying to better their lives and wind up bankrupt.  They pick themselves up and start over with the skill sets they have to work with.  They take responsibility for their situation.  They don't ask the government to take from others to help them out. And if anyone does, they are supporting a corrupt political establishment. Bankruptcy from medical bills is not the end of the world.  People live on afterwards and do well.  But the smart thing to do is never allow yourself to be in a position to go bankrupt because of medical bills.

Besides. the entire medical situation is what it is because the govt has been fugging it up for decades.  Biden has been a part of that destruction his entire political career.  He's going to push all sorts of income redistribution on the productive taxpaying citizens in America and the people who don't deserve it will continue to vote for leftists to keep the theft going.

By the time you're my age, you will come to realize, all of your hard work is being taxed to buy the votes of fools who keep leftists in power.  It's at that time, you will become a Conservative.

are you sick all the time or something?  that you are thinking so much about free healthcare  you most have it good if that's your only worry in life not saying you are right or wrong here .  just wonder with all the country's problems why you picked that one to dwell  on ? probably don't have a problem buying  a new car ?  instead of just saving money for a raining day  like when you need healthcare .  what kind of phone you got the 1500 iPhone  how about getting a cheaper one and save that money for your healthcare ?
