Well why not make it more than a few, this way you can use up you’re older powder and have fun shooting the M/Z for a bit.

I have a container of black powder from 1912, still shoots fine.  A I have several canisters of 3031 from the seventies which have had no noticeable degrade...(at recommended loadings chronogragh). If kept away from heat and in a sealed container, modern powders are very stable.
