First guess is he wants to know about Naked Stand, but there is an outside chance he is more interested in the JAn Brady stand.

Naked stand is in a tree that is by itself on a hedgerow. No cover whatsoever. Jan Brady is the middle stand of a group of 3 stands on the edge of a field. I constantly forget about it, going to the first or third one instead. That's when i decided to call it Jan Brady stand.

We have a few on the farm....

Middle earth
Hot pockets
Smiley face
The Powder room
The Blaper
The Bottom feeder
The Patterson pine
Dukes corner ( reserved indefinitely)
Rut stand

Then there's the ones that are a bit more to the point

The 22 footer. It's a 22' stand
Back ridge. It's on the back ridge
Phillips stand. It was phillips.
Driveway stand. It's by the driveway

Etc. Etc.

My buddy has owned the property I hunt in Columbia for about 5-6 years so all names are related to areas, some of which that no longer have their namesake feature:
The hay-bale stand no longer overlooks a hay-bale;
The bee-hive double is missing the bee hives
Joey’s hanger has not see Joey (or anyone) since it was hung during year one.

Love the stories and traditions associated with all things hunting.

We don't name our stands by anything except location until they earn a name.

Some of the better ones are "The Three Hour Stand" because it took three hours of sweating our arses off in 80 degree heat to get it set,  "The Boner Stand", not because we're looking for bone, but because my buddy gets so excited to hunt it, and "The Nipple Tree", which started off as the dimple tree, but being directly across the swamp from the boner quickly adopted the moniker nipple instead.

But we're normal. Honestly...

Cool thread right here,

At camp, we have areas or pockets of woods that stands are in and will also name stands based upon who sits there often or who built them:

Cherry Knoll

Braddosh Lot

Click Log

Flat Iron

Beech Ridge

Jim's, John's, etc.

At home, I've only named a few:

Oak Flat

White Pine stand

Back Corner Ladder

Kid's Ground Blind

Suicide Stand (I need to rename this bc I know it's a serious thing - the stand is just a B to get in and is way up there - I'm open to suggestions)

Change suicide stand....to the Pucker stand.....cause it makes ya pucker everytime you climb it!
