Military Chiefs Remind Troops of Their Oath

Recommended Posts

The article states “As we have done throughout our history, the U.S. military will obey lawful orders from civilian leadership, support civil authorities to protect lives and property, ensure public safety in accordance with the law, and remain fully committed to protecting and defending the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic,” said the one-page memorandum signed by the eight senior officers who serve as the Joint Chiefs.

Does being “fully committed to protecting and defending the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic” include:

  • Obeying the Second Amendment that clearly states “the right of the PEOPLE to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed”?
  • Protecting the law abiding citizens against “all enemies…domestic” that would include politicians who legislate to violate the Constitutional rights of law abiding American citizens like censorship of speech (First Amendment), gun control legislation (Second Amendment) and other violations of the Constitution?

I wonder how many of those politicians who want military protection now were draft dodgers, are anti-military and did not properly fund our military and its veterans?

Seems pretty clear that military is going to uphold the constitution and the lawfully certified election

As good as they possibly can with empty guns that are only for show. If you honestly believe they will be carrying live ammo you are dreaming. Age old tactic to put fear in the people that the people  got wise to along time ago. The ramifications of firing upon US citizens would be devastating to say the least.

Kent State.

The Inauguration will have more troops in DC, then in both theatres overseas.

Kent state is the reason for guns with NO AMMO.  I had a friend that was a Captain in the National Guard and he told me guns with no ammo is the standard/typical process.  The question is whether they are going to follow standard/typical process this time.

The inauguration may be a problem and the military is duty bound to defend it, as they should.

That's not going to be the issue.

The issue will arise when the Biden/Harris administration begins to push unconstitutional mandates on the people and illegal, oppressive, unconstitutional diktats and executive orders that cause a revolt.

The military will be duty bound to defend the public from such unlawful orders.  If they fail to do so, there will be violence the likes of which this country hasn't seen since the first civil war.

Biden received 5 deferments for Asthma conditions and Trump received 4 for bone spurs.

Biden played football and worked as a lifeguard in high school, despite his Asthma condition.

These are details he included in his memoir, "Promises to Keep," per the Associated Press.

So, are you OK with electing a draft dodger ?

Have the YMCA song blasted over loudspeakers after Joe gets sworn in. Just a non violent free speech thing that the left would flip over. I'd get a chuckle over that.

It was always a little odd that Trump danced to YMCA - a noted gay anthem. Of course, many people back in the day questioned Trump's intimate relationship with Roy Cohn.

I hope your wrong, but Americans have been preparing for such a day, as evidenced by the unprecedented amount of firearm + ammo sales over the years.
