I've got a half dozen of the AP. I had a dozen. They were fun to play with. Curios on the SOCOM.  what grain and what type rounds were you using. I plan on using one for deer this coming season for a few hunts.
I was using you know that's a damn good question. Standby. Let me check my "recipe"

.458 Socom
2.02 OAL
32.4gn SBR 458 Socom
300gn hornady jhp
Starline .458 socom brass
WLP primers

Obviously work your way to those numbers. They are somewhere in the middle range for powder charge if I'm not mistaken. nowhere near max but they were cloverleaf at 100 yards for me so I didn't bother further tinkering after I found that load

Thanks. I was looking at using a soft point rather than a hollow point. I think that may take some of the "explosiveness" out of it and mushroom instead.

Well these only exploded because they were shot into a cinder block. I know lots of people use them for hunting with great success. May also want to look into the ftx bullets.

Finding anything in stock at this point is virtually impossible. But I will say finding the actual bullets is far easier than finding the primers which everyone knows is the cheapest part of the whole thing
