Laid-off Keystone XL worker shares his heartbreaking message for Biden

Oh my, should I get down on my knees and kiss your ring superior one?

What we have here with the Versatile "non hunter"  is a perfect example of a sockpuppet account, having operated a message board for close to twenty years I can spot them a mile away.

A sock puppet or sockpuppet is an online identity used for purposes of deception. The term, a reference to the manipulation of a simple hand puppet made from a sock, originally referred to a false identity assumed by a member of an Internet community who spoke to, or about, themselves while pretending to be another person.

The use of the term has expanded to now include other misleading uses of online identities, such as those created to praise, defend, or support a person or organization, to manipulate public opinion, or to circumvent restrictions, such as viewing a social media account that they are blocked from, suspension or an outright ban from a website. A significant difference between the use of a pseudonym and the creation of a sockpuppet is that the sockpuppet poses as an independent third-party unaffiliated with the main account operator. Sockpuppets are unwelcome in many online communities and forums and should be banned!

I think you hit the nail on the head airdale.  The fact that VH has never posted a picture of himself, and little if anything that was hunting related, adds significant weight to your argument.

I actually had lobster quesadillas with the Nobel Laureate who contributed to the discovery of ozone depletion in the atmosphere. This discovery led to policy changes in aerosols, which have proven to be extremely beneficial. You see, it's not about running around like a headless chicken in fear of impending doom. It's about identifying the real and actionable risks and then taking the proper measures to address them.

But I did stay at a holiday Inn last week, so there !

While I may not agree with anything VH or BM post here, they do have a right to say it and being the good hearted patriotic conservative I am , I'm not going to ask for or want them censored, even if what their saying is total BS.

And that BS doesn't stand for Bernie Sanders.

I just wish their political friends in power now had the same attitude, but as expected, their masters are on the path to ruin, taking down their serf voters with all the rest of us.

Running out of time ?

Are you so vain to think that mother nature cares about the human race and that we can actually change the planets temperature ?

Do you know how many world altering atomic and nuclear devices were set off in the 40's, 50's and 60's ?

Mother nature said bring it on, that's all you got punks !!!!

We've been on this planet but a millisecond in the planets timeline and if she wants us gone, no amount of recycling or sacrifices are going to stop her.

Just ask the Dinosaurs and the Mayans, who must've really pissed her off !

I'll go by the millions of years of hard evidence that scientists have gathered that show "Global Warming", "Climate Change" and whatever new age term they can come up with, has been happening with and without the very egotistical human race being on this planet.

It's not happening faster or slower, because the data collected shows what's happening over decades and centuries, not daily or even yearly.

I watched a documentary a few years back that explained this very same thing in great detail. I tried to find it last night but don’t remember the name. Anyway they where real scientists explaining where still coming out of an ice age and future of the next cycle isn’t known yet. They also had a scientist on there who stated there’s no way mankind can change what’s ahead.

Let's all remember some basic FACTS we were taught in elementary school.  The earth is approx 4 billion years old today.  The earth is heated by the sun and its proximity.  The whole earth, all of it, at some time was a tropical rainforest and dinosaurs roamed.   Some cataclysmic event occured that caused a global ice age and killed off the dinosaurs.  Glaciers than reshaped the earth and melted.

So if our proximity to the sun has not changed (moved further away) than logically the earth would be warming post-the cataclysmic ice age event. This warming would be to its natural state which logically would be a tropical rainforest, since that is what it was prior.  We have only been recording weather patterns since 1880.  That's 140 years of known versus 4 billion years of unknown.  Consider 140 years to earth is less than 1 second to our lifetime.  The glaciers melted and so will our polar ice caps eventually as earth warms toward it s prior natural state.  Mother nature ALWAYS gets her way!  Man's abilities are laughable compared to hers.

Is global warming real?  YES

Is global warming caused by man?  NO

Can man mitigate global warming? Not a chance.

I dont know, you might be right,  but hes been on here since last June so, why would he he hang around that long if hes just one of those trolls? What purpose or benefit does that serve anyway?

This is not anything new, I've also been on the internet a long time, and like Airedale, I believe it's not all that hard to spot a sock puppet or troll or imposter, or whatever you want to call them. I am on a few different hunting forums, and oddly enough, all have "new members" who recently signed up, all preaching liberal gospel, while contributing little or nothing hunting related; 10 years ago if you posed as a leftist on a forum like this you were laughed out of existence. What purpose do they serve? Some people get a kick out of pretending they are someone they aren't I suppose, the same kind of people who used to make crank phone calls back when I was growing up. I think the new crop of hunting forum trolls are trying to convince the younger guys that it's OK to be a liberal & hunt, and it's even OK to let them take your guns away, it's all going to be OK, and that socialism will work here in the U.S, and if you don't buy into it, then you're an old racist conspiracy theory nut who needs reprogramming. Sad....

What's really sad is how mentally inflexible you must be to struggle with the idea that others with different (ie. more grounded) perspectives may share a hobby you enjoy. Just baffling...

You think we don't affect the planet? Wow.

The planet does not care about us,i agree with that. But i think it would be nice if we could avoid wiping out most species including ourselves by being smarter about things. The planet will most likely recover when we are gone, but that won't matter to us.

I have magazines from the 70 and 80s that say things like Miami  NYC  will be under water right about now and about the coming ice age all predictions that did not happen . al gore said all the polar bears are going to die  back in the 90s   and btw if you like to be brainwashed and not listen to people like me who are older then you, about this stuff ,  plenty of other sites like that . Human impact on climate   yes  but not the main driver of weather   its like you pissing in  a 5 gallon bucket of water if you put a good temp sensor in there you will see a  temperature  change but its not going to last  .

That's how the left has been successful  they  got pawns like VH going out polluting the minds of anyone that will listen those types they get into all the news ,outlets , media  , Hollywood  and big tech  while are side  does not nearly as much  and that's why you here mostly there point of view on tv  brainwashing everyone . Then comes along Trump and beats them at there own game and they go bat shit . We need 1000 trumps to get into the media just to make things even really  that's how one sided those industries  are .

I agree with this. The planet has its own cycles that we dont have anything anything to do with.

The rest i think is different, and a vast majority of scientist agree..

The carbon concentration in the atmosphere is the highest it has ever been right now and that is the result of burning fossil fuels that took millions of years to form. There is a lot of carbon stored in those and releasing all that has to have an effect, its just common sense.

This is carbon that was taken out of the atmosphere over millions of years to be released by us in 150 years.

Saying that we dont influence the planets atmosphere is a cop out. A head buried in the sand wont save your ass from burning.

Global warming and carbon emission/pollution are two separate and distinct things.  We cannot do anything about the former.  The latter we can, particular because it is exclusively a result of man. I have no issue with trying to minimize, to the most reasonable extent possible, carbon emission/pollution.  However, this has to be done in a science-based non-political way that doesn't cause alternate worse polluting or destroy people's lives.  Example,  in the past there was a push to get away from disposable diapers because they were filling up landfills; and it was politicized.  People were being shamed to go back to cloth and washing. A study showed that the detergents from washing would do more harm to the environment than the disposable diapers.

Except for massive volcanic eruptions and huge wildfires like last year's west coast fires, which put more carbon into the air than a decade of man's fossil fuel use.

This is a good discussion on climate change, but back to the original question why did President Biden stop the pipeline and start hauling the fuel by train? From what i've read it was almost complete.

Yeah, doesnt make alot of sense to me.  It sounds like theyre not going to stop drilling/processing the petroleum, just wont be advancing the pipeline and further, so whats that gonna do? Someone pointed out that the oil will just be transported via train, maybe by tanker , and both modes use fossil fuels , so whats the difference?  Actually, it probably contributes to MORE air /water pollution cuz , at least w/ the pipeline, its just being transported via a pipe.  To me, this move by the Biden admin is just for show.  Its meant to demonstrate , at least ostensibly, their opposition to petroleum energy usage and demonstrates their resolve to replace it with cleaner, more efficient energy forms.  Its more symbolic than anything

Stopping work on the pipeline makes Warren Buffet happy . The billionaire owns the railway and the cars that haul the oil via the railway . Buffet is a staunch financial supporter on the democrat party .

Yeah, I never understood why guys like him--and George Soros too-- are liberal, cuz theyre obviously super rich (arent they billionaires? ); so, they must be pro-business, right? Id firgure them too be Conservative and VERY pro capitalist cuz thats the system which enabled them to make their fortunes , right?? I dont get it!!

IMO, they aren't liberal. They just know that liberal policies will bring down the United States which is what the Globalists want.

I think that rich people want power, and people in power want to be rich. Unfortunately, if you have one, you usually have the means to the other.

Myself, I don't think either of those things would me happy.

*Sorry Chris, I meant to quote @Northcountryman, but I don't know how to fix that :)

I agree, but are all of these carbon emissions coming from the US of A ? Hell No.

Do we have to suffer for the non conforming nations that have no pollution controls in place and laugh at us for destroying our economy in the process ?

These same nations are in the Paris accord and don't pay a dime, but get to tell us what to do ?

F them and the cloud of smog they rode in on.

Trump was correct in getting out of the Paris accord and now Biden's jumping back in with both feet first.

Solar and wind power only account for 4.5% of our energy production and that 4.5 percent comes at a high cost, with little to show.

If there were renewable energy sources that showed promise, there would be no question the American public would be all for it, but it's not there yet.

Almost everything on this planet emits carbon and the ocean sucks it up, so if the polar ice caps melt and make the ocean larger, it's actually helping in reducing the carbon on the planet.
