You think we don't affect the planet? Wow.

The planet does not care about us,i agree with that. But i think it would be nice if we could avoid wiping out most species including ourselves by being smarter about things. The planet will most likely recover when we are gone, but that won't matter to us.

The pollution effects to the planet, aren't caused by the US alone.

It's the other countries that say their doing their part, but aren't, that are the issue here.

Until those countries do their part, the US could stop using every type of fossil fuel and it still won't have any effect on pollution.

According to data collected by the International Energy Agency (IEA) in 2019, the USA had the most significant CO2 reduction in the world on a country basis, while, as an entire economic bloc, the EU had a more considerable CO2 reduction.Feb 19, 2020

Although we are still a major CO2 emitter, NOONE (except maybe the UK) has reduced their emssions more than us--fact!!

Fact's to a progressive socialist, is like Garlic to a Vampire.

I'll go by the millions of years of hard evidence that scientists have gathered that show "Global Warming", "Climate Change" and whatever new age term they can come up with, has been happening with and without the very egotistical human race being on this planet. It's not happening faster or slower, because the data collected shows what's happening over decades and centuries, not daily or even yearly.

I watched a documentary a few years back that explained this very same thing in great detail. I tried to find it last night but don’t remember the name. Anyway they where real scientists explaining where still coming out of an ice age and future of the next cycle isn’t known yet. They also had a scientist on there who stated there’s no way mankind can change what’s ahead.

https://www.iea.org/articles/global-co2-emissions-in-2019

Once again, you are not well informed and should not be lecturing others.

The United States saw the largest decline in energy-related CO2 emissions in 2019 on a country basis – a fall of 140 Mt, or 2.9%, to 4.8 Gt. US emissions are now down almost 1 Gt from their peak in the year 2000, the largest absolute decline by any country over that period. A 15% reduction in the use of coal for power generation underpinned the decline in overall US emissions in 2019. Coal-fired power plants faced even stronger competition from natural gas-fired generation, with benchmark gas prices an average of 45% lower than 2018 levels. As a result, gas increased its share in electricity generation to a record high of 37%. Overall electricity demand declined because demand for air-conditioning and heating was lower as a result of milder summer and winter weather.

Thanks for providing that link, some reputable and useful information, keep it up.

That's why  green deal is bs not going to work climate is always changing but gov got  people like you thinking you can control the worlds temputure like it is  a AC unit.

This is remedial stuff... yes, the earth cycles slowly through great temperature fluctuations. Contemporary changes in temperatures and climate patterns cannot be accounted by these natural cycles. Human effects, via greenhouse gases, ride on top of these very slow cycles to give rise to the current unprecedent rise in global temperatures.

The debate isn't whether human mediated climate change is real. Rather it is how best to enact local and global policies to slow down human contribution to global warming.

I should buy stock in Aluminum foil companies , as I see a big need for the production of tin foil hats for many Dems coming soon with the new Climate Czars "Sky is falling" press conferences.

How dare you utter Fauci and Oz in them same breath!

How old are you?  I'm 55. I remember back in the early 70's we were doing the duck and squat drills in the halls to kiss our butts goodbye becasue of the nuclear missile  strike Russia was going to unleash any day.  About mid 70's it was the fear call was about the impending ice age. I think it was the 80's with the Aquanet big hair craze that arenols were causing a giant hole in the ozone. I think all of our skin was suppose to be melted off by no because of that one.

I actually had lobster quesadillas with the Nobel Laureate who contributed to the discovery of ozone depletion in the atmosphere. This discovery led to policy changes in aerosols, which have proven to be extremely beneficial. You see, it's not about running around like a headless chicken in fear of impending doom. It's about identifying the real and actionable risks and then taking the proper measures to address them.

None of this has anything to do with climate change. It has to do with the wallets of the people on power. How does ending the keystone pipeline help the environment? Answer, it doesn't....What it does do is enrichen Warren Buffet and the stock portfolios of John Kerry and the rest on the left that push these green deals for THEIR economic benefit. @BowmanMike is obviously very passionate about  the environment. That is noble, but i don't hear him calling out those with private jets, yachts etc while he is willing to go back to horse and buggy....It's all a bunch of BS that won't do a single thing other than move America further down the economic scale while empowering, China, Russia etc.

Oh my, should I get down on my knees and kiss your ring superior one?

What we have here with the Versatile "non hunter"  is a perfect example of a sockpuppet account, having operated a message board for close to twenty years I can spot them a mile away.

A sock puppet or sockpuppet is an online identity used for purposes of deception. The term, a reference to the manipulation of a simple hand puppet made from a sock, originally referred to a false identity assumed by a member of an Internet community who spoke to, or about, themselves while pretending to be another person.

The use of the term has expanded to now include other misleading uses of online identities, such as those created to praise, defend, or support a person or organization, to manipulate public opinion, or to circumvent restrictions, such as viewing a social media account that they are blocked from, suspension or an outright ban from a website. A significant difference between the use of a pseudonym and the creation of a sockpuppet is that the sockpuppet poses as an independent third-party unaffiliated with the main account operator. Sockpuppets are unwelcome in many online communities and forums and should be banned!

Banning people whose posts or opinions you don't like?  Is that what you're suggesting?

Not  exactly true there have been little ice ages that have happened   fast in the past you can look them up for yourself . So the minor changes we make  one way or the other may not be worth the economic ruin  of all  the green stuff .  ALL IT TAKES IS ONE BIG  VOLCANO  TO start  a mini ice age this happened in the middle ages , and I'm not saying  do nothing but  there needs to be balance in what you do.

Oil is a modern miracle to the entire world, no other substance right now is even close. All forms of energy have drawbacks to them but on an enormous scale oil is best right now. So if Biden wants to curtail emissions fine. But China Russia India and countless others will not. So it’s all bs.

...and Biden's boy Kerry has already said if the US drops emissions to ZERO, it will not solve the problem!

You do know this is HuntingNY.com a hunting themed message board, this troll have been on this board for months and all he posts is political libtard venom to stir the pot, he does not belong here!

What I posted was universal message board etiquette, having two accounts like the Versatile one is a banning offense on any message board I have ever been a member of, he is being dishonest and a liar!

Notice his typical deflection of the charge.

When one assumes, they are Intellectually superior they get bored and do things like joining a hunting forum hoping to prove to others they are the superior beings and above the rest by bragging about who they swap spit with and how much more intelligent they are than the rest of the herd.

Instead of contributing anything they spend their time trying to make others feel inferior and take cheap shots at ones that don't look at things their way or think like them. Their opinion is suppose to be yours and if it isn't you are stupid or worse.

Pretty sad way to spend your time,     This about sums it up:

"The trap in having a superior IQ is you may know you are smarter than others, but you might not be smart enough to realize that you are still mostly stupid."
