Cool pics. I'm always surprised to see bucks still holding their horns this late.

I actually had ten deer cross that field in front of me today, at about 140 yards , got my glass on them and one nice buck only had one side . Don’t know if it had shed, fought , or grew that way . I have summer pics of a buck with a nice side and a stub on the other .

Many years ago I'd see bucks in Amherst still lugging their antlers around in mid April........I'd joke that their new antlers would push the old ones off in May.

Maybe noon . It seems three were across the road and got moving because guys we’re snowmobiling over there , they came through the thicket and it seems the seven bedding there got up and came out as well .

I found the beds and followed the three backtracking to where they crossed the road to my side .

And they would never bed there during rifle would they lol

Oh they’re in there, then ,they just don’t come out often in daylight . That thicket has crops on three sides,  always corn on at least one side , if not two or three sides giving them more cover and a short trip to the store .
