Gender questions...

This is a great response, thank you for writing this. It’s true weather we like it or not this change is coming. Those who do not embrace will be left behind. I actually think this goes for most progressive ideals unfortunately... green energy, a single payer healthcare system. All of these are things the younger generations seem to want. I think it would be to our benefit and get on board so we have a say in how it’s done.

If we don’t get on board our country will continue to fall behind and soon we won’t be the world power we are.. we need to be on the forefront of growth. Weather people like it or not this is the future

I don't see single payer healthcare fully taking form for a long time; I do see more government subsidy efforts, via ACA and the like, that have private healthcare funneling.

Single payer is much more difficult to convert IMO; complete market disruption and would be way more socialistic than even many democrats would be comfortable with. My insight is based on leading 50% of one of the largest insurance agencies in the country.

So shouldn’t it be you use the bathroom that makes sense for the parts that you have.... if they have to sit to pee they should go to the lady’s room... then you have to explain nothing to your kid... instead of daddy why is that lady in the men’s room

I fully intend to use the correct bathroom ,I expect other adults to do the same yet here we are arguing about it.

This is one of those examples of how an issue that affects a very small amount of people (but affects them deeply) takes on a larger life and becomes a central battle line in identity politics. These folks live with a heightened risk of physical violence. A trans woman using the men's bathroom because they have male genitalia has a much shorter life expectancy due to the fact that small insecure men like to pummel trans people to death. There are many layers to this issue, some very complicated. My approach is to lead with empathy. Children face a lot of challenges too. Sharing a bathroom with a trans person, likely outside of their awareness, is not one of them.

Exactly...and IF their life expectancy is less is the causality really the "mass violence's" perpetuated against them is is it life style choices made? If the violence was that wide spread and horrific it would be on the liberal news nightly.

I spent most of the '80s coked up so got to visit a lot of women's restrooms. Not sure what you guys think goes on in there, but they don't rip their clothes off the minute they walk in. Well, a few times but we locked the door behind us.

I've also used a number or restrooms all over the world where there is a common area for hand washing and grooming, and individual stalls that are used by everyone. Seemed to work well.

From anyone I've ever known that was responsible for cleaning the bathrooms room ,they would swear the very next thing they do after pinching a loaf is to ignite an m-80 in it ,apparently the ladies destroy the bathroom 10x worse then the men LOL.

I don’t think it’s necessarily an issue concerning safety — rather , I think it has more to do with proper social decorum . If it were— and I have no doubt , incidentally that what you say is probably accurate —then there’s no reason we ALL don’t go unisex then .  Let’s do it !! We all go unisex no matter what and you can go into a stall and take a dump next to an attractive lady doin the same lol

well the other reason we don't have unisex is because a girl can and would be exposed to a guy at the urinal. But if a shemale uses a women's restroom, there is no urinal. therefore no exposure. So I ask again, what is the issue?

There where two woman’s skulls fractured by fox it was the newsome fight that revealed fox was a man.
And your right club there rules, but isn’t the whole idea of division’s and weight classes to keep it far. I’m sure if there where open unisex matches women would throw down with a man,but they should have a right to know it’s a man there going up against

call me confused then, because the article linked with the picture states Kal Schwartz was responsible for that picture, not someone named Fallon Fox.

I'm not trying to start shit, because I've made my stance known several times now, but I'm genuinely confused here and I think a few of you are too... and not the kind of confusion that this thread is centered around.

This is Tamikka Brent he broke her skull in the first two minutes of the fight.

This is Erika newsome he also broke her skull. All while concealing the fact he was a man.
You can look up the fights for yourself. I’m not posting them.

No wonder you’re on edge. You think 1 in 100 people are trans...

It’s not actually a disruption. You just don’t like it because you find it icky. We shouldn’t legislate on icky.

This would work for adults. I’m not to sure about kids they can be a little foolish and I can see it getting out of hand.

Ok , so I am confused . Are you saying then That Anyone should be able to use any bathroom of their choice , even cis gendered people ? And this elude is predicated on the fact that safety and exposure is a non issue? Just seeking clarification is all , thanks

Yeah, I'm not suggesting it for kids. I really don't have a solid answer here.

It seems too pat to say just use the bathroom that corresponds with your genitalia, as I think there are some genuinely gender dysmorphic kids out there. In the past, they would simply hide it but now that they are freer to be themselves in every aspect of their lives, it seems that they should be allowed to use a bathroom that makes them comfortable. Impractical, but perhaps there's a need for a third bathroom available to anyone.
