Good luck to everyone who is out.  I'm moving slow after watching the Sox tee off on Tampa Bay.

Congrats Upstate!

Hoping to do something similar to Grampy once I get some firewood delivered and a few other chores taken care of.  Check some cams and move a stand or two.  Get ready for cooler weather.

I totally understand the deer are out there in this warm weather, but hunting is supposed to be fun.  Sweating and slapping skeeters isn't fun for me.  I'll hold out until cooler temps.  That'll give me and the deers some urgency!

I'm sipping coffee. Will be heading up to the farm. Have some work to do up there this weekend. Also moving a couple of stands, based on what we have observed recently. Most likely won't hunt until next weekend.

Good luck to all out there! A beautiful fall day! Enjoy all the splendors of the season!

Also good luck to all the youth hunters and their mentors! You guy's are completing the circle!

They are out and moving. Good day to move stands and prune before it get to the prime time!! I am picking up fish for the pond this morning. So only out for a couple hours.

Did you say coffee? If you want a third let me know when you guys are going and if i can make it i will buy coffee.

I got up to the top of the winery property this morning and there was a youth hunter already there. So, I pretty much just circled around and pulled cards and left...

8j and my son turned 12 in April this year.  He was excited to bow/duck hunt in the first place and then when they lowered the gun age he was even more so. He got his very first duck on youth/veterans weekend up north 3 weeks ago.

We bow hunted last weekend and he is gun hunting for the youth Columbus day weekend.

We are trying a bean field this morning, bumped a few setting up but then saw a really nice 6 at shooting time.  He just stayed out of range I was comfortable letting him shoot and also worrying about backstop issues.  The having to be on the ground rule is pretty tough with a rifle and angles.

Biz is right had a good one coming through the thick shit. Either a hickory nut or a big acorn… pretty sure hickory nut… hit him square in the back… he bolted faster than hell. Sad and funny all at the same time

It's two different deer. I kind of like the first one. He's a beast!  Which scores highet on the Biz Scale? Lol. There is another buck up there too with a big drop on his right side that I haven't got pics of yet. I Saw him a couple of weekends ago...
