Hunt till 930 pack up stuff head to taxidermist with @Swamp_bucks then on road by 1 but got some unfinished business with this deer herd if my gun wants to shoot.

Just got to my new double ladder at home at legal light 6:45.  No luck or sightings from this one last Sunday afternoon with crossbow.  Hoping that it is a better morning spot.  Full moon was great for the walk back.

We could shoot at 6 am if a coyote came out this am for sure. 650 first shot here

Been in since 6. Complete opposite end of property from yesterday. Small spike so far. First shot at 6:15 a long way off. Looked through my scope and couldn't see crap and my rifle is sporting decent glass. No idea how they could see what they were aiming at.

We saw plenty of deer yesterday I saw three small bucks three does and one unknown. My buddy shot the buck I missed with my bow last year and had on camera all winter spring and summer but he avoided me all of bow season this year.  He also shot a doe, back at today.

Such a beautiful still morning.  Crazy how this property is though.  Last year I saw one deer the whole gun season.  But I'm out and hopeful.  Only staying til about 9:30 here.  Then gonna let the dog out and come back from noon till dark in another stand.

Quiet here so far. Did see 2 deer walking in. They let you walk right past them at 20 yards never spooked

Stare down with a red squirrel about 20 minutes ago. A few shots off in the distance so far.

I heard 3 shots close by so far this morning (2 around sunrise to my west and one about 20 minutes later to my south). All I have seen so far is two grey squirrels.

Totally dead. Supposed to rain from 5 pm to 8/9am.

I am thinking of sleeping in tomorrow and doing an 8 to dark. Hard to stay motivated with 0 movement. Only 2 doe in an all say sit yesterday

8H DAF…. Think I’m going to cancel my vacation for this week. I have 2 reports due to the DEC by the end of the week that I was planning to squeeze in during the mid days and a big one due to the EPA in 2 weeks. I haven’t seen squat for several weeks anyways…
