We are out for a late morning sit for a bit.
Got a decent amout of snow in our section of 9H last night but cut very few tracks on the way to our back blind. Hoping to catch a big ole girl going for a late morning stroll to strap on the feed bag 78e03823808516ea07bc32fe6231019d.jpg

I got a doe this morning about an hour after I shot at a coyote. I went back to my house and grabbed my younger helper to help me track her. Turns out we didn't have to track to much. She basically jumped into my corn foodplot and died about 8 yards from where I shot her but I couldn't tell that from where I was when I shot. 20211128_094244.thumb.jpg.e5ab8fb54a1da44b38f206368fca3fa8.jpg

Look at you, protecting next springs fawn population.

I’ll be honest ,it’s barely a drop in the bucket imo.the last few years I’ve purposely hammered the fox and coyote population (20-30k9s per location )on a few different properties close to home ,as soon as I pull more filter in .They rebound quick .

I worked with a guy named Mark Zagger who would trap a ton of yotes every year and they always come back. Even if you take out a whole pack, another will move in.

But it's like a lot of other things. Every little bit helps.

This morning, biggest buck taken off the farm in a few years! Shot by my partners daughter, my God daughter. I think it's the buck I missed last Monday? Couldn't have worked out better. So happy for her!

I'm sorry I wasn't there. I haven't hunted since Thanksgiving. Dealing with some issues. My season may be over. IMG_4776.thumb.jpg.64f3e9b415f88285c9fcada8f1b5283d.jpg

More meat for the freezer.
Just started walking out back at 8, as last night was a late night if bowling and beverages. Made 1/4 of the way to the stand i was going to, slowly walking and scanning. Look left and 80 yards away a lage group of doe are watching me. Raise the gun and freezer queen down.

That’s a beauty grampy.  The Bible says, in black and white, that God determines where every sparrow falls.  There is no doubt that He puts magnificent  creatures like that big buck just exactly where He wants them to go.  There is no place better than deer heaven (mankind’s food supply).

The fact that your God daughter played the key role on that transition, on a Sunday morning, has got to make it extra special. I am praying that you are able to get back out there again soon and help another one along on that happy voyage.
